Clinical Fellowship Opportunities for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Language Pathology

Are you on your way to become an Illinois-Licensed Early Childhood Intervention Therapist who works hard to meet the needs of a wide range of children? Are you constantly researching updates and best practices in the field of child physical therapy and occupational development or speech therapy? Do you have an unfaltering, positive attitude and looking for Clinical Fellowship Opportunities to get you started? Then we may be looking for you!

ShiningStarTherapy is constantly looking for great therapists to work with great children. To that end, ShiningStarTherapy has invested in building programs with most of the universities in Illinois to provide clinical or fellowship opportunities. These are either clinicals for those individuals looking to become either a DOT (Doctor of Occupational Therapy) and DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy), or paid on-the-job learning with CF-SLP. Shining Star Therapy has built a CF-SLP (Clinical Fellowship Mentoring Speech Language Pathologists) program to help you get working on your career and earning money, while being under the guidance and assistance of a mentor helping you get your license.

The main purpose of the Clinical Fellowship is to improve the clinical effectiveness of the clinical fellow. The mentoring SLP must provide performance feedback to the clinical fellow throughout the CF. Feedback and goal-setting require two-way communication whereby both the mentoring SLP and the clinical fellow share important information about the clinical fellow’s performance of clinical activities. A specific time should be set aside for each performance feedback session at the end of each of the three segments of the CF. This session should be used to identify performance strengths and weaknesses and, through discussion and goal-setting, to assist the clinical fellow in developing the required skills.
